Michelle Floh, CAP®

Managing Partner

Michelle Floh is a philanthropic strategist and founder of Castlefield Consulting, with a proven record of deploying capital for measurable, lasting impact. Her advisory practice emerged through growing demand from families, wealth managers, and legal advisors, often through direct referral, seeking rigorous, impact-oriented philanthropic counsel. To date, she has stewarded more than $500 million in philanthropic assets across foundation leadership roles and client engagements.

Michelle operates beyond traditional advisory roles. She has directly run foundations on behalf of clients, establishing donor-advised funds, structuring endowments, and actively managing mission-related investments to align capital with values. For families and institutions seeking the discipline of a professionally run foundation without building internal teams, she serves as their philanthropic infrastructure.

Her work is grounded in a clear theory of change. Lasting progress requires strengthening the organizational infrastructure of nonprofits, not just funding their programs. She focuses on building the management, systems, and relationships that enable organizations to grow, adapt, and sustain impact well beyond a grant cycle.

What distinguishes Michelle is that she has operated on the ground as well as at the capital level. She has worked directly with grantee leadership across the United States, Canada, and select global markets, helping move initiatives in education, mental wellness, and economic mobility from early-stage efforts to sustained, scalable models. This practitioner perspective informs every strategic and funding decision she makes.

She approaches philanthropy as a disciplined partnership built on mutual accountability. Donors contribute capital and networks, while grantees bring frontline expertise and community insight. Her engagement extends beyond funding, working alongside leadership teams to sharpen strategy, improve resource deployment, and position organizations for expanded reach and new funders.

Drawing on her background in health technology, spirituality, and corporate wellness, Michelle brings a performance-oriented lens to philanthropy. She embeds outcome tracking, adaptive strategy, and portfolio-level thinking to ensure capital is deployed effectively at scale.

Her work spans the United States, Canada, and select international markets, across education, mental wellness, economic mobility, climate, and faith-based and spiritually rooted initiatives.
