Michelle Floh

Michelle Floh

Managing Partner

Michelle Floh is a philanthropic strategist who has stewarded more than $300 million in assets across two major family foundations, delivering measurable impact through trust-based partnership models. As CEO of the Rona & Jeffrey Abramson Foundation (RJAF) and the Eric and Kelly Schwartz Charitable Trust/Schwartz Family Foundation (SFF), she transformed traditional grantmaking by designing multi-year funding commitments that reduced organizational strain while strengthening grantee capacity.

Her approach centers on recognizing donors and grantees as equal partners: donors contribute capital and networks, while grantees bring frontline expertise and community insight. This dynamic enabled her teams to diversify revenue streams, attract new funders, and grow foundation endowments by an average of 35% annually across both organizations’ grantees.

Drawing from earlier experience scaling health technology ventures and corporate wellness programs, Michelle brought entrepreneurial rigor to philanthropy, implementing outcome tracking, iterative strategy development, and portfolio thinking typically reserved for venture capital.

When foundation principals RJAF and SFF sought to expand philanthropic influence by attracting like-minded donors, Michelle recognized the need for scalable advisory support. She founded Castlefield Consulting in 2022 to extend this partnership-driven methodology to a broader philanthropic community and attract like-minded ultra-high-net-worth individuals, providing them a vehicle to share their needs, concerns, and philanthropic desires. She has worked across the philanthropic ecosystem, advocating for the aligned interests of donors, grantees, and the communities they impact, spanning the U.S., Canada, Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and Europe.

Michelle has built customized philanthropic solutions encompassing faith-based giving, educational access and digital inclusion (from community-based schools to global higher education partnerships, while ensuring equitable access to AI and digital technologies), climate and environmental programs, and mental wellness through meditation initiatives.  She has also structured multi-year agreements that unite NGOs, community organizations, and corporate partners, bridging philanthropic capital with private-sector investment to tackle systemic challenges, and designed situational responses including social housing initiatives, emergency humanitarian support, and medical debt relief.

Today, Castlefield works with family foundations, corporate giving programs, and high-net-worth individuals seeking strategic frameworks that honor donor intent while building genuine organizational capacity in their grantee partners. Clients consistently report stronger grantee relationships, improved program outcomes, and more efficient capital deployment: transforming charitable giving from episodic transactions into sustained investment in community-driven change.
